Our school has a high population of students from the Middle East, and it became awkward when the issue of blame was bantered about casually by students who weren't thinking before they were speaking. To be honest, I didn't know how best to handle THAT issue. I did remind students that there are many unanswered questions and jumping to conclusions at this point could be very dangerous for all of us. I likened it to racial profiling, which is frequently in the news in our area. Did I handle it right? Who knows, but I did the best I could in a situation where I was positively dumbfounded by the reality of what appears to be a widespread terrorist attack in our own backyard. Shelley
