I met my T/TH classes today for the first time since the tragedy and I was
shocked to find the same response. I thought they would be all "talked
out." But when I asked them if they had been talking or writing about it
in other classes, most complained that they hadn't, really. Or if they
had it had only been for a few moments. They were desperate to write and
talk about it. In addition to helping them "get it out"; it was a good
way to show them how writing can help them during any trying time in their
lives.
